Counselling Team
We have a team of highly experienced and professionally qualified counsellors, enabling us to offer a wide range of services. All have regular clinical supervision and abide by the Code of Ethics of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC), New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association (NZCCA), or their professional affiliation.
Staff
The Centre is run by a Director, assisted by two Administrators who manage the office from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Governance
Pakuranga Counselling Centre has been operating since June 1994 under the umbrella of a Charitable Trust. The Centre is governed by a Board of Trustees who offer a wide variety of skills, experience and knowledge. They meet on a regular basis to provide strategic direction for the organisation and oversee its operations.
The Centre operates within a budget approved and closely monitored by the Board, and the Trust's financial statements are audited annually.
SupportersWe could not offer our affordable counselling service without the generous support of our funders. We are extremely grateful to government agencies, philanthropic trusts, churches and general donations which enable us to provide our professional and affordable service to the community.
The Centre has successfully achieved the rigorous standards of approval as a Community Service under section S.403 of the New Zealand Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1989. It maintains a Ministry of Social Development - Child, Youth and Family Contract.
We also gratefully acknowledge the following funders:
“ (Counsellor) has given me more things to work on in communication with how people talk to me and how I respond. A big thank you! ”
